NFL Clash is an officially licensed NFL mobile football game developed for Android and iOS. I contributed to the game across two studios over more than three years — first at Giant Monkey Robot, then continuing at Globant as Tech Lead.

During that time I worked on LiveOps updates, gameplay features, shared SDK tooling, and championed CI/CD practices across a distributed team of 30+.

The game was shut down around 2022, so it is no longer available on the stores.

About

NFL Clash is an officially licensed NFL mobile football game for Android and iOS. Fast-paced, competitive mobile gameplay with regular LiveOps updates and seasonal content.

My Role

I contributed to NFL Clash across two studios over more than three years. I started on the shared “Clash” SDK before moving into the NFL game team, which shaped how I worked with the rest of the codebase: I knew the SDK from the inside before plugging into the live game.

At Giant Monkey Robot (Feb 2020 – Feb 2021)

  • Started on the shared SDK that powered Clash-style titles, then moved into the NFL game team
  • Built and maintained gameplay features and LiveOps updates using Unity, C#, Photon Quantum, and PlayFab
  • Worked across the full game system surface (battle, economy, progression, content) while owning the FTUE and tutorial systems
  • Implemented multiple gameplay changes alongside the regular LiveOps cadence

At Globant (Feb 2021 – Apr 2022) — as Tech Lead

  • Led Unity development — managed LiveOps updates, new features, and fixes
  • Continued contributing to gameplay code hands-on, including ongoing FTUE / tutorial work
  • Orchestrated our side of the store deploys — coordinated submission and release with the SDK team, backend team, and client team
  • On-call support during live operations, including hotfix work when the game was live
  • Supported the NBA Clash team (separate team, same SDK and shared systems) — answered support questions and helped them work with the shared platform
  • Championed technical documentation, reusable tooling, and CI/CD via Unity Cloud Build and GitHub Actions

As Team Leader (responsibilities beyond code)

  • Helped with team evaluation and feedback
  • Wrote and presented status reports
  • Joined client meetings with Warner Bros. Discovery / Turner Sports
  • Ran internal syncs with the leads of all areas (design, art, QA, backend, SDK)
